In yet another example of restaurant brands publicly slamming its competitors, Wendy’s released a five-track mixtape today with lyrics aimed squarely at its hamburger-slinging brethren and more.
“The mixtape drops now,” Wendy’s tweeted. “Not pulling punches. We Beefin’.”
Songs include “Twitter Fingers,” “Rest in Grease” “4 for $4” and “Clownin.”
USA Today proclaims the music on the EP “way better than it has any right to be.” And numerous Twitter users have commented that it’s “fire.”
Some of the choicest digs at the competition include this jab at McDonald’s:
“Boy, we tried your food, where the flavor at?
You number 1? That’s a joke
Why yo’ ice cream machine always broke?
Why yo’ drive thu always slow?
Why yo’ innovation just can’t grow?
It’s queen Wendy, need I say mo’?”
And this one against Burger King:
“Can’t be no king, yo’ burgers ain’t the finest thing
I can’t believe you peasants have the audacity
You took a L the day you thought to come after me.”
And a rant against chicken concepts:
“It’s queen Wendy up in this thang
You can’t beat us serving just thangs
Y’all too chicken for this beef
I’ma leave you resting in grease.”
