Tastemade and Realtor.com are partnering to produce a four-part, long-form TV series called “Beyond the Block” on Tastemade’s streaming network.
The series is Tastemade’s first branded home show for TV, and its first made-for-TV show in the home and design category for the digital video media company.
The series will premiere on September 3.
Realtor Andrew Tyree will host the show, taking first-time home buyers in San Antonio, Los Angeles, Raleigh and Fort Collins to find the right neighborhood and home.
Each episode will dive into the many different aspects of home buying, such as the neighbors, the surrounding businesses and the community, according to the company.
“In 2020, buying a home is more than just the four walls and a roof — it’s about investing in a community, made up of small business owners, a cultural history, and neighbors that offer a real sense of support for one another. ‘Beyond The Block’ demonstrates just that,” stated Jeff Imberman, head of sales and brand partnerships at Tastemade
For this series, the Tastemade and realtor.com teams were filming in the field before and during the national pandemic; the series’ narrative and production was adjusted midway, due to COVID-19.
