Based on her best-known work, one would assume that the British artist Lucy Sparrow is a city mouse, but when Standard Culture finally got through to the artist, she was deep in the English countryside where she lives on a farm of all places. To give us a sense for how remote her home is, she adds, “The nearest shop is about three miles away,” and that, ironically, made perfect sense.
